  • 2024 Craft Fair Vendor Table-Early Bird Specials

    Calling all Crafters to participate in the 2024 St. Louis Park Senior Program Craft Fair at Lenox Community Center! Date: November 2, 2024 Time: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m Early Bird Pricing Booth Fees (all tables will have approximately 2 feet of additional space and up to 2 chairs provided at no cost): Are you looking for a premium location? This option includes (1) 6 foot table. There are 5 available spaces; $55 before June 30, 2024 and $60 after July 1, 2024. These tables will be located near the entrance of Lenox. Do you need extra table space? This option includes (2) 6 foot tables. There are 7 available spaces; $40 before June 30, 2024 and $45 after July 1, 2024. These tables will be located the first classroom (Room 115-Craft Room) off the main entrance of Lenox. Are you looking for a standard table and space? This option includes (1) 6 foot table. There are 22 spaces available. $25 before June 30, 2024 and $30 after July 1, 2024 These tables will be located throughout the main floor of Lenox. *Early Bird Pricing ends at 11:59 p.m. on June 30, 2024 and all registrations close at 11:59 p.m. on October 11, 2024 Important Details and Reminders: - The Craft Fair will be held on the first floor at Lenox Community Center. - We will have concessions and a cash machine on site. - Lenox will provide all tables with up to 2 chairs at each station. **Bringing any additional tables or display stands that do not fit on top of or behind the provided table will not be allowed. - All vendors are responsible for hauling, setting up and taking down their product. There will be very limited assistance and carts available for set up and take down. Setup will be available Friday evening from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. or Saturday morning from 8 - 9:30 a.m. All vendors must be set up by 9:30 a.m. in order to participate.   • 55+ Driver Discount Program

    The 55+ Driver Discount Program is a state approved accident prevention/insurance discount class that is open to the public. This class provides you with a 10% savings on your automobile insurance premiums for 3 years! It is taught by a certified instructor from MN Highway Safety & Research Center and it provides the latest information in regards to driver and traffic safety, new laws, and vehicle technology. This class has something for everyone! You MUST register by phone at 1-888-234-1294 or online at www.driverdiscountprogram.com, do not register through St. Louis Park Community Education. The fee for the 8-hour initial class is $28 and the 4-hour refresher class is $24. Pre-registration is required. *First time participants must complete the initial 8-hour class to receive the discount and should take a 4-hour refresher class every three years after this to maintain their discount.

  • A Conversation on Death and Dying

    What happens when we die? Are our loved ones at peace? What do they want us to know? Bring your questions and experiences and we'll talk.     Adult Pickleball - Beginner Instruction

    Pickleball - Beginner Instruction: Get some exercise and have some fun with the fastest growing sport in the U.S. Come learn the basics of serving, dink shots, drive shots, and volleys. Learn the terminology, rules and scoring system. And why do they call it Pickleball anyway? We will have paddles, balls, and nets to use. Bring your own paddle if you prefer. April-August classes will be held outdoors when the weather is nice at the St. Louis Park Middle School tennis courts and in the gym at Lenox Community Center if the weather is bad.   • Community Service Club

    Be a part of enhancing our community by joining a new club. The Community Service Club is a joint program with St. Louis Park Community Education Adult Programs and Project SOAR to give us an opportunity to work together to serve and give back to our community. Each month we will be focusing on a different project. This course doesn't have a required registration fee but we have a suggested donation amount and other options to donate what you can to help us purchase materials for the projects. March 20th - 7-8pm: Meet at Lenox Community Center April 17th - 7-8pm: Meet at Lenox Community Center May 15th - 7-8pm: Meet at Lenox Community Center June 12th - 4:45-6:30pm: Meet at Feed My Starving Children: Join us as we package and label nutritious meals for children and families around the world. Please arrive on time and wear comfortable clothing and shoes. There will be a variety of tasks to help with and every meal packed is another kid fed and lives saved. July 24th - 6:30-7:30pm: Meet at Westwood Hills Nature Center: Support local spaces and conservation of our natural habitat found at Westwood Hills. Feel bird feeders, help with light cleaning and more to keep this community spot a welcome environment.     Fading Ads of the Twin Cities

    Do you remember seeing those old painted ads on the sides of buildings for Coca-Cola, Grain Belt Beer, grocery stores, warehouses, etc. Our instructor, Jay Grammond has been drawn to Fading Ads, or “Ghost Signs” for quite some time. In the Summer of 2020, that interest became so much more when he signed a book deal to publish a book about the topic. Join Jay as he takes you on a virtual walk around the Twin Cities to view this sort of “Art Gallery” that surrounds us. You will also learn a bit about the history of some of these companies that date back into the 1800’s.

    Fantasy Football Class for Beginners

    What participants will learn: by the end of the class, participants would have a fundamental understanding of all offensive positions groups that make up the scoring in fantasy football. Participants will also participate in a fantasy football draft. Topics covered include: scoring in fantasy football, the waiver wire, the importance of bye weeks, trades, different kinds of fantasy football leagues, different drafting options (online vs in-person, how to access weekly lineup advice) and having fun!!! All participants will walk away from the class with a packet of everything that was discussed, online tools to be successful with fantasy football, as well as my email so that they can ask me questions anytime. Participants will realize and understand how simple and fun fantasy football can be.
